A Victorian house that needed general renovation and expansion.
The project included planning, construction and general renovation and, of course, the design and styling of the entire house. The family, numbering 5 people, asked for a bright and modern house that would contain work areas, a utility room and an open space that includes a large kitchen, dining area and family corner.
In a joint decision with the customers, we have preserved some of the original features of the house like the tiles floor in the entrance and the cornice works in the ceiling which preserves the Victorian charm and creates an interesting combination of old and new.
KENSAL RISE FLAT
Nestled within the eclectic tapestry of Kensal Rise, a three-bedroom, two-level maisonette unfolds as a testament to contemporary living. This charming abode underwent a comprehensive remodelling, renovation and styling.
The loft, once an unassuming space, emerged as the crown jewel of this transformation. It was thoughtfully converted into a serene en-suite bedroom.
Removing a wall between the living room and kitchen marked a pivotal design shift, birthing an expansive open-plan living and kitchen area. Here, light and life intermingle with graceful fluidity, creating a versatile space that adapts effortlessly to daily routines and social gatherings. The petite family bathroom was redesigned and extended into a spacious haven of indulgence.
Styling choices played a central role in crafting the maisonette's character. A curated colour palette, blending smoky pink, shades of grey, and the radiant glow of copper accents, brought an atmosphere of warmth and space. Furniture, lighting, textiles, and accessorise were carefully chosen to suit the colour pallet.
