A Victorian house that needed general renovation and expansion.
The project included planning, construction and general renovation and, of course, the design and styling of the entire house. The family, numbering 5 people, asked for a bright and modern house that would contain work areas, a utility room and an open space that includes a large kitchen, dining area and family corner.
In a joint decision with the customers, we have preserved some of the original features of the house like the tiles floor in the entrance and the cornice works in the ceiling which preserves the Victorian charm and creates an interesting combination of old and new.
Edgware House
This Edgware bungalow was completely transformed and rebuilt from scratch, retaining only the original front elevation. The entire layout was replanned to create a spacious four-bedroom home, with all four bedrooms designed as en-suites.
Extensions to the rear and into the loft doubled the living space, while the new open-plan kitchen, dining and living area was designed to make the most of the beautiful brook views at the end of the garden.
Bespoke joinery was designed throughout the house, alongside a complete lighting scheme and carefully sourced furniture, textiles and accessories. The interiors are light, modern and relaxed, balanced by the client’s collection of solid wooden furniture, creating a warm family home with the feel of a luxury holiday villa.
