A Victorian house that needed general renovation and expansion.
The project included planning, construction and general renovation and, of course, the design and styling of the entire house. The family, numbering 5 people, asked for a bright and modern house that would contain work areas, a utility room and an open space that includes a large kitchen, dining area and family corner.
In a joint decision with the customers, we have preserved some of the original features of the house like the tiles floor in the entrance and the cornice works in the ceiling which preserves the Victorian charm and creates an interesting combination of old and new.
West Finchley House
This West Finchley home was transformed from a three-bedroom house into a stylish four-bedroom family home, with a new loft conversion and a spacious master en-suite.
The property's main feature is its beautiful outlook over Dollis Brook and the surrounding green landscape. The ground floor was completely opened up by removing the internal walls, creating a bright open-plan kitchen, dining and living space that makes the most of the views and connection to nature.
The renovation also included a new conservatory, updated bathrooms and kitchen, bespoke joinery to maximise storage, as well as new furniture, lighting and textiles throughout. The result is a bright, contemporary and practical family home with a strong connection to its green surroundings.
