A Victorian house that needed general renovation and expansion.
The project included planning, construction and general renovation and, of course, the design and styling of the entire house. The family, numbering 5 people, asked for a bright and modern house that would contain work areas, a utility room and an open space that includes a large kitchen, dining area and family corner.
In a joint decision with the customers, we have preserved some of the original features of the house like the tiles floor in the entrance and the cornice works in the ceiling which preserves the Victorian charm and creates an interesting combination of old and new.
South Kensington Mews
This once-tired mews house has been entirely transformed by completely redesigning and reconfiguring all three floors. The original layout was inefficient and dated, lacking flow and functional spaces. By removing a supporting wall, we seamlessly integrated the garage into the main living space, relocating the kitchen to this area to create an inviting open-plan kitchen, dining, and living room. A guest cloakroom and dedicated utility room were added to enhance day-to-day functionality. The loft was transformed into a serene master suite with an en-suite bathroom and a compact home office, ideal for today’s flexible lifestyles.
In addition to the interior renovation, we refreshed the exterior with a warm camel-toned paint, giving the façade a timeless, elegant character that complements the home’s new interior. The result is a beautifully balanced space that now feels contemporary, functional, and full of character, ready to welcome its new tenant.
